 Abstract:  This is Frederick Mills' notebook from 1826 and 1827 of Benjamin Silliman's lectures on chemistry and pharmacy delivered at Yale College. Unlike some of the other notebooks at the APS, the notes in this one are dated, so one has a clear sense of how the lectures were delivered.

 Abstract:  This small collection contains a range of documents relating to the career of Benjamin Silliman, chemist and professor at Yale. Much of the correspondence dates to the 1830s and is from Silliman himself. There are a few letters in French from Jons Berzelius. Science, especially chemistry and geology, and other scientists are often discussed.

In addition to the notes, there is a class roster from the Universities of Pennsylvania and Virginia and copies of exams. There is also meteorological data for 1775 and 1776.
